Automated checks catch roughly a third of WCAG failures. Colour contrast, focus order, keyboard traps and whether alt text is actually meaningful all need a person. A clean result here does not mean a site is conformant.

What this checks, and what it cannot

Every check is a fact that is present or absent in the HTML your site serves, mapped to a numbered success criterion in WCAG 2.2. Nothing is scored subjectively, and your page's HTML never leaves our server.

Seven of the eight are Level A, the baseline conformance level, and one is Level AA. They are the failures we see most often on large CMS builds, where a single template mistake repeats across thousands of pages.

What it cannot check matters just as much. Colour contrast needs rendering. Focus order and keyboard traps need interaction. Whether alt text is meaningful rather than merely present needs judgement. Automated tooling of any kind, ours included, catches roughly a third of WCAG failures. Treat a clean result as the absence of the obvious problems, not as evidence of conformance.
